AI visibility for New York City real estate agents
New York agents are some of the best-known names in real estate, on the street. Online, and especially inside AI answers, the city is still unclaimed. Here is what the engines cited when we looked, and how we make you the agent they name.
To get recommended by AI in New York City, an agent needs verifiable business details, an active Google Business Profile, recent reviews and a website that says exactly which boroughs and neighborhoods they serve. BulletProof Real Estate Agent runs all four for New York agents every week, on an IDX website that supports Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and OneKey MLS listings, with one Platinum slot per market.
What the engines said about New York City
New York answers leaned on directories and listicles. Across 10 AI answers to two New York City questions, the engines cited 24 different websites, and about a quarter of all citations went to directory and ranking sites such as agency-listing pages rather than to any real estate specialist. No website was cited more than twice. Gemini returned just one source across both questions. In a city this big, that is a remarkable vacuum.
The questions, exactly as they were asked:
Machines don't recommend the best agent. They recommend the one they understand. In New York City, they have not found that agent yet.
Engine by engine
Sources cited per engine across the same 2 questions. Engines that cite little are the ones deciding from what they already believe about an agent, which is why your profile, reviews and business data have to be consistent before anyone asks.
Your market
In New York the building, the block and the borough are the search. A buyer in Astoria and a seller in Tribeca are different people asking different questions, and the engines answer at that level of detail. We build pages for the places you actually sell, whether that is the Upper West Side, Park Slope, Astoria, Williamsburg and Tribeca, and we connect your IDX website to Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and OneKey MLS so your listings sit on your own site, not a portal.
Market figures come from BulletProof's own market pages linked above, each with its own sync date.
The plan
Four pieces, done for you every week. You keep listing houses.
Your name, address and phone checked and corrected everywhere the engines look. Mismatched details are the most common reason a well-reviewed agent is invisible. We fix them, then keep watching.
Categories, service areas across NYC, photos and posts kept active. Your Google profile carries roughly a third of local ranking, and Google's AI results read from it directly.
Here is the number we hold to: one new review a week. We make the ask easy and answer every review for you. Recent reviews are what AI answers quote back when someone asks who to call.
An IDX website on Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and OneKey MLS with neighborhood pages for the Upper West Side, Park Slope and the rest of your farm, structured so ChatGPT, Gemini and Google can state plainly who you are and where you work.
Matt runs a William Raveis team north of Boston. With BulletProof he doubled his Google reviews in six months to more than 60, and his case study records $117,500 in GCI from BulletProof Google leads, including a listing near $700,000 that sold a couple of hundred thousand over, followed by the sellers' $1.5 million purchase. Same Northeast buyers, same kind of search. The structure transfers.
Side by side
You are not behind because you are bad at this. You are behind because this is a second job, and you already have one.
Nobody calls to tell you they picked someone else. That is the cost of waiting, and it compounds.
The AI-answer figures on this page come from the CiteVantage AI Search in Real Estate 2026 study, published under a CC BY 4.0 licence. We took every city-shaped query about New York City (2 queries, each asked of ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Google AI Overviews) and counted the sources each engine cited. We report counts, not the names of the agencies cited, because this page is about what New York City agents can do, not a directory of vendors. AI answers change over time; treat these as a snapshot. MLS names are from our MLS coverage list. The local ranking share for Google profiles reflects widely reported local search ranking factor studies. Last reviewed: September 23, 2026.
Straight answers
New York City real estate agents and Realtors running as solo agents or small teams who want sellers to find them, not the other way round. Not a 40-agent brokerage with an in-house marketing department, and not agents who need closings this quarter. If that is you, say so on the call and we will tell you honestly.
The audit is free and specific: what Google and the AI engines can verify about you today, what is missing, and whether your New York City market slot is still open. Next spring a seller types four words at her kitchen table. Let's make sure your name is the answer.
