AI visibility for Houston real estate agents
Houston is 640 square miles of separate markets, and sellers in each one are starting to ask AI who to call. When we looked, the engines leaned on the MLS portal and generic agencies. Here is what they said, and how we make you the answer.
To get recommended by AI in Houston, an agent needs consistent business details, an active Google Business Profile, recent reviews and pages that name the submarkets they serve. BulletProof Real Estate Agent runs all four for Houston agents every week, on an IDX website connected to Houston MLS (HARMLS), with one Platinum slot per market.
What the engines said about Houston
In Houston the most-cited website was the local MLS portal itself, har.com, cited four times across 20 AI answers to four Houston questions. After that the engines spread 78 citations across 65 different websites, mostly general SEO shops. That tells you something useful: the engines trust verifiable local data. An agent whose details, reviews and pages line up with that data is exactly what they are looking for.
The questions, exactly as they were asked:
Machines don't recommend the best agent. They recommend the one they understand. In Houston, they have not found that agent yet.
Engine by engine
Sources cited per engine across the same 4 questions. Engines that cite little are the ones deciding from what they already believe about an agent, which is why your profile, reviews and business data have to be consistent before anyone asks.
Your market
There is no single Houston market. The Heights, Katy, Clear Lake and The Woodlands each move on their own timeline, and sellers search by submarket, not by city. We build pages for the places you actually sell, whether that is the Heights, River Oaks, Katy, The Woodlands and Clear Lake, and we connect your IDX website to Houston MLS (HARMLS) so your listings sit on your own site, not a portal.
Market figures come from BulletProof's own market pages linked above, each with its own sync date.
The plan
Four pieces, done for you every week. You keep listing houses.
Your name, address and phone checked and corrected everywhere the engines look. Mismatched details are the most common reason a well-reviewed agent is invisible. We fix them, then keep watching.
Categories, service areas across Houston, photos and posts kept active. Your Google profile carries roughly a third of local ranking, and Google's AI results read from it directly.
Here is the number we hold to: one new review a week. We make the ask easy and answer every review for you. Recent reviews are what AI answers quote back when someone asks who to call.
An IDX website on Houston MLS (HARMLS) with neighborhood pages for the Heights, River Oaks and the rest of your farm, structured so ChatGPT, Gemini and Google can state plainly who you are and where you work.
Evan is a solo eXp agent in a Dallas market of 10,000-plus agents. Three months into BulletProof his phone started ringing with organic calls, and his case study shows him first on Google for "Realtor in Dallas", with $650K and $660K opportunities arriving in the same week. Same state, same kind of buyer, same structure. Houston is next door.
Side by side
You are not behind because you are bad at this. You are behind because this is a second job, and you already have one.
Nobody calls to tell you they picked someone else. That is the cost of waiting, and it compounds.
The AI-answer figures on this page come from the CiteVantage AI Search in Real Estate 2026 study, published under a CC BY 4.0 licence. We took every city-shaped query about Houston (4 queries, each asked of ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Google AI Overviews) and counted the sources each engine cited. We report counts, not the names of the agencies cited, because this page is about what Houston agents can do, not a directory of vendors. AI answers change over time; treat these as a snapshot. MLS names are from our MLS coverage list. The local ranking share for Google profiles reflects widely reported local search ranking factor studies. Last reviewed: September 23, 2026.
Straight answers
Houston real estate agents and Realtors running as solo agents or small teams who want sellers to find them, not the other way round. Not a 40-agent brokerage with an in-house marketing department, and not agents who need closings this quarter. If that is you, say so on the call and we will tell you honestly.
The audit is free and specific: what Google and the AI engines can verify about you today, what is missing, and whether your Houston market slot is still open. Next spring a seller types four words at her kitchen table. Let's make sure your name is the answer.
